Fire Hydrant Pressure And Flow Requirements Australia

Fire hydrant pressure and flow requirements in Australia vary depending on the type of fire hydrant and the application. We are Fire Testing, a dedicated Australian business that offers second to none services up to the highest standards known to this date. The specific pressure and flow requirements for a particular fire hydrant will be determined by the fire engineer responsible for the design of the fire protection system.

Some common fire hydrant types used in Australia include:

• Standard fire hydrant
• Extended barrel fire hydrant
• High-pressure fire hydrant
• Pressure-reducing fire hydrant

We are experts in terms of fire hydrant pressure and flow requirements in Australia; and we have over 21 years of experience supplying the best possible services you can find when looking online. Fire hydrant flow test determine the flow rate and pressure in any location through-out a water company’s or water authority’s underground water distribution system. Fire hydrants are tested regularly to ensure that they are capable of providing water at an acceptable pressure and flow rate foe public health and firefighting operations.

In order to ensure the installations cover all the fire hydrant pressure and flow requirements in Australia, performing a fire hydrant flow test provides the actual static pressure, residual pressure and the flow from the hydrant. In addition, it is also necessary to perform a flow test to properly design a fire sprinkler system for a commercial or residential structure. A flow test is also used to verify the operation of the system by the fire department. We are eager to offer you our services, and we are certain that you won’t regret it!

GRK has worked closely with AFST to test and commission the fire hydrant, pumps, hose reels and fire mains since 2008. Their field crews are always super helpful in ensuring our completed works are compliant allowing certification. After the onsite test and inspection, AFST always send our engraved block plans through in record time allowing us to complete and close out projects. We also utilise the AFST maintenance services to complete our DLP periods on the fire systems including the monthly fire pump testing. Bruce and the AFST team are and have always been available to answer our queries and assist with all types fire systems. I value the services of AFST and class them as members of the GRK team.
